The distribution by IOM of winter clothes, sleeping bags and thermal blankets provided by UNHCR, was completed at the accommodation site of Agios Andreas in Attica. This was part of UNHCR’s broader distribution of winter items to asylum seekers in mainland Greece and the islands, with the contribution of the European Commission – Humanitarian Aid & Civil Protection (ECHO), so that people are better prepared to cope with the winter weather.
The distribution procedure provided another chance for the children to play. Among the items distributed, the little ones seemed to like their winter caps most. They were eager in any case to find out what was inside the boxes.
