With the generous contribution of EUR 25 million from the European Commission – Humanitarian Aid, UNHCR is supporting the Greek authorities in assisting refugees and migrants in mainland Greece. In Nea Kavala, among other activities, UNHCR focuses on families and children through a “Blue Dot Hub”, namely a center offering protection, psychosocial support and recreation. In Diavata, distributions of basic relief items and shelter upgrading interventions help the refugees prepare for the upcoming winter.
