Ahmoud, an engineer in communications, Muna, an animated cartoon director, and their three children have been living in a neighborhood in Thessaloniki for the past few months. After leaving Syria, they are finally building a calm everyday life while waiting to be relocated in Germany. The children make new friends in school while the parents get to know the city and their new and welcoming neighbors.
Ahmoud’s family is one of the many refugee families that are benefited by UNHCR’s cash card assistance programme in Greece. They are now able to choose how to meet their everyday needs. Thessaloniki’s TV100 follows them as they do their everyday shopping.
